Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Security Area Supervisor to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring comprehensive security coverage at multiple sites, conducting regular inspections, maintaining documentation, and fostering strong client relationships. This is a dynamic role requiring excellent communication, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to managing security operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Site Coverage: Ensure comprehensive coverage and security of all assigned sites and properties.

Site Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of security measures at various sites to ensure compliance with standards.

Site File Inspections: Regularly review and maintain site files, ensuring that all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with security regulations.

Client Interaction: Interact professionally with clients, address concerns, provide updates, and maintain strong relationships.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to security industry regulations, standards, and best practices across all sites.

Forward Planning: Proactively plan security strategies to address potential risks and emerging threats, including rostering.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site inspections, client interactions, and security plans.

Communication: Demonstrate exceptional communication skills in both Afrikaans and English, both written and spoken.

Computer Literacy: Utilize computer systems effectively for report generation, communication, and data analysis.
Skills and Competencies:

Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel at an intermediate level.

Excellent public relations, communication, and reporting skills.

Security area supervisor experience and knowledge of security protocols.

Energetic with a strong commitment to vigilance and leadership.

Client service delivery experience with a focus on high-level service.

Strong in incident handling and reporting, including emergency procedures and written reports.

Experience in panic and response coordination.
-
Ability to work under pressure, solve problems, and take initiative.

High level of integrity, particularly in upholding anti-bribery and anti-corruption standards.

Self-discipline and capability to handle staff discipline and complexities.

Client-centric with strong communication skills in both English and Afrikaans (advantageous).
Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
-
PSIRA Grade A certification.
-
Valid driver's license with a PDP (Public Driver’s Permit).

Firearm competency and Dog Handler training (advantageous).

Clean criminal record.
