Job Overview:
The Country Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of all country-based projects, ensuring financial performance, managing client relationships, and developing new business opportunities. This position will provide leadership to the team while driving operational excellence and compliance across all operations within the assigned country.
Key Responsibilities:
Management and Accountability:

Oversee the country project budgets, ensuring that each project develops according to the scope, meets commitments, achieves targets, and continuously seeks ways to reduce costs while enhancing service delivery.

Drive all financial and operational aspects of country projects to meet set profit and revenue targets.

Provide timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis related to the business.
Business Development:

Actively source and identify new business opportunities in the market, pursuing them to closure and securing contracts.

Stay updated on industry trends to strengthen ATS’s position in the market, specifically in Tanzania, and adapt plans accordingly.

Be proactive in revising plans and managing changes to meet the evolving needs of the ATS business.
Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders through regular site visits and active engagement.

Ensure overall country performance aligns with client expectations, driving operational efficiency in coordination with Operations and Project Managers.
Operational Leadership:

Ensure that all country projects conform to ATS’ and client Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

Oversee contract management and administration in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, while mitigating financial risks.

Take the lead in establishing contracts with clients and ensure smooth delivery of projects as per the agreed schedule.
People Management and Leadership:

Provide leadership and development for all country staff, fostering a motivated and high-performing team focused on quality service delivery.

Manage staff performance reviews in line with ATS’ Performance Management policies.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Compliance and Risk Management:

Develop and implement procedures for contract management, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations and best practices, including HACCP and Health and Safety standards.

Commercial Acumen / Sales Savvy: Business development experience with a strong understanding of financial management.

Analytical / Problem Solving: Ability to analyze financial data, provide solutions to business challenges, and prepare financial reports and projections.

Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

At least 5 years’ experience as a Country Manager or equivalent role, preferably in facilities management, food service/production, project/operations management, or remote camp management.

In-depth knowledge of business management principles, financial management, and industry standards (including HACCP, Health and Safety).

Proven experience in managing large teams and delivering operational results.
