✅ Minimum Requirements

  • A 3-year Diploma in Agriculture (NQF Level 6 or higher)

  • Compulsory registration with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP)

  • No work experience required

  • A valid Code B driver’s licence

  • Willingness to conduct physical farm visits and fieldwork

  • Clear communication (verbal and written)

  • Teamwork, problem-solving, and basic public speaking

  • Ability to work directly with farmers and community stakeholders


👩🏽‍🌾 What You’ll Do

As an Assistant Agricultural Practitioner, you’ll work alongside experienced advisors to:

  • Provide technical support to emerging farmers

  • Assist with farm visits, business planning, and training coordination

  • Organize farmer days and information sessions

  • Help promote food security through sustainable agricultural practices

  • Support the implementation of rural development projects

  • Facilitate cooperative and smallholder support initiatives
