The Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme (MFMIP) is a structured, full-time internship designed to build financial management capacity in municipalities. It equips interns with practical experience, professional mentoring, and exposure to core functions within the municipal finance system.

Stipend: R100,000 per annum
Location: Knysna Municipality, Western Cape


💼 What You’ll Learn

As an intern, you’ll rotate through departments within the Finance Directorate, gaining exposure to:

✅ Minimum Requirements

To qualify, you must:

  • Be a South African citizen

  • Hold a three-year degree or diploma in:

    • Accounting

    • Finance

    • Economics

    • Risk Management

    • Auditing

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Have strong communication, analytical, and teamwork skills

  • Be unemployed and not have previously participated in a similar internship programme
